Celebrate Connecticut Teacher of the Year 2021 - Rochelle Brown and the 2021 Paraeducator of the Year - Maria Sau!

Teachers - you serve your students in not only teaching, but guiding them with care, giving them little pushes they need, recognizing their potential - in the midst of a pandemic no less. It has been difficult this past year, but you were dedicated and kept doing what you do best - educate and care.

I am so grateful for each and every one of you! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

National Provider Appreciation Day

Just like teachers, child care providers have an enormous impact on our children's lives. It takes a village, after all. May 7

It really does take a village to raise a child and during these unprecedented times their value has truly been recognized. Many child care programs have had so many challenges while navigating how to best serve and support parents that need or want to work, especially when emergency care was needed for essential workers.

So please, send a thank you card, have your kids draw them pictures, or even just saying "Thank you" can show your gratitude.

Mother's Day

It doesn't matter if the appreciation of the work you do comes in the form of a sticky hug, a handmade card, breakfast in bed, or an expensive gift. Know that you are loved today, and every day. May 9
