Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Parade and Celebration in Hampton: Join Hampton Town in celebrating the Memorial Day Parade! Before the parade, grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich from the Hampton General Store. There will be live music, food, and ice cream sodas!
Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Parade in Mansfield: The parade steps off at 9 a.m. from Bassett’s Bridge Road and passes along Route 195 to Old Cemetery Road. The ceremony and wreath-laying at Old Cemetery follow the parade.
Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Parade and Celebration in Norwich: The City of Norwich, in collaboration with the Norwich Area Veterans Council and the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce (GNACC), proudly presents its Annual Memorial Day Parade and Program on Monday, May 27, 2024. This heartfelt tribute honors heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. We invite families to join us in commemorating their service, dedication, and their ultimate sacrifice.
Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Parade in Sprague: The parade will start at 10 am on Route 97 in Baltic north of the Shetucket River, at 14 North Main St., then go through the village of Baltic, heading south onto Main Street, left onto River Street, back onto Main Street, heading north, ending at the War Memorial Park at the intersection of Main Street and West Main Street.
Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Prade in Thompson: The Parade begins at 9 am at the Thompson Town Hall, 815 Riverside Drive in North Grosvenordale. The parade will proceed to the Main Street Bridge, where a salute will be given to those buried at sea. The march will resume at St. Joseph’s Cemetery and the North Grosvenordale Cemetery. It will proceed onto Riverside Drive, stopping at Oscar Swanson Park at the Thompson War Memorial and the Swedish Cemetery at Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, then ending at Town Hall.
Monday, May 27, Memorial Day Parade in Woodstock will start at 11:30 am. The Parade starts near Woodstock Inn and Woodstock Orchards and proceeds to Veterans’ Memorials at the Common. After the parade, a wreath will be laid at the Town Hall monument, where all Connecticut soldiers lost in current wars will be honored. In inclement weather, ceremonies will be held at the Woodstock Academy Field House.

Sprague Public Library is hosting a Children's Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30 am. Children can make new friends for stories, songs, and weekly social time. Registration is encouraged.
Mommy & Me at the Public Library in New London: Join us for a new Mommy & Me Group hosted by Rachel Jurzyk from the Child and Family Agency! A great opportunity to make connections, and snacks and activities will be provided for children!

Chess Club at the Mystic Noank Library: The Mystic Noank Library’s Chess Club, invites children in grades 3 and up! Join us every Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for an engaging chess instruction and gameplay hour. Registration is required.
Game Night at the Otis Library for tweens & teens: Game NIGHT is happening at Otis Library for 12-18 years olds! Board games of all kinds are welcome.

Greater Norwich Chamber of Commerce presents their annual Duck Race! Get ready for a QUACKtastic event that promises a splash of excitement and heaps of fun!
Friends Fair at the Mystic Noank Library: The Friends Annual Spring Fair is on June 1st from 9-2, rain or shine! It will include a White Elephant sale and our Silent Auction will close at 2 PM on Fair Day. The Spring Fair is the biggest fundraising event for the Friends who use the money throughout the year to help support our wonderful Library!
Summer Kick Off with a Luau Party at the Crystal Mall in Waterford: Stop by the Events Table located in the center of the lower level and pick up your free Lei and other goodies! Shop with local vendors and check out what the stores have to offer! Be sure to wear your best Hawaiian shirt or bright tropical wear!
