The start of summer is HERE! And it's jammed packed with fun adventures for the whole family!

Saturday, June 1

Greater Norwich Chamber of Commerce presents their annual Duck Race! Get ready for a QUACKtastic event that promises a splash of excitement and heaps of fun! 

Friends Fair at the Mystic Noank Library: The Friends Annual Spring Fair is on June 1st from 9-2, rain or shine! It will include a White Elephant sale and our Silent Auction will close at 2 PM on Fair Day. The Spring Fair is the biggest fundraising event for the Friends who use the money throughout the year to help support our wonderful Library! 

Summer Kick Off with a Luau Party at the Crystal Mall in Waterford: Stop by the Events Table located in the center of the lower level and pick up your free Lei and other goodies! Shop with local vendors and check out what the stores have to offer! Be sure to wear your best Hawaiian shirt or bright tropical wear!

Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical: Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog have started an epic club to teach 21 rambunctious baby frogs how to make their own comics! Their fishy father Flippy is overjoyed that his kids will learn to unleash their creativity, but when the frogs’ constant bickering and outrageous imaginations send their comics comically off the rails, Flippy flips out! Dog Man: The Musical: Best buds George and Harold have been creating comics for years, but now that they’re in 5th grade, they figure it’s time to level up and write a musical based on their favorite character, Dog Man, the crime-biting sensation who is part dog, part man, and ALL HERO!! Let Loose Thursdays June -Live Music & Fireworks! Come join us at Parade Plaza in New London and remember to bring your chairs for a live music experience. Families are invited to participate in Touch-a-Truck, check out food vendors, enjoy face painting, and indulge in various other family-friendly activities.

Saturday, June 8

Saturday Morning Mindfulness Walk in Mohegan Park, on June 8 at 10 am, sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Norwich and Norwich Youth, Family, and Recreation. Walkers gather at the Spaulding Pond gazebo rain or shine. The one-hour program begins with a Qigong-inspired warm-up and meditative reading followed by a silent walk around Spaulding Pond. The program concludes with time for sharing and reflection. Accessible to those with mobility challenges. Rev. David Horst leads the walks. No pre-registration or fee is required. Email Rev. Strawberry Festival at Olde Mistick Village: Head down to Olde Mistick Village to celebrate all things strawberries during their first annual Strawberry Festival! There will be crafters, vendors and food trucks in addition to all the great shops at the Village from 11-6pm!
